Conexa Revolution

CONEXA

Conexa is a revolutionary connection system between implant and abutment, derived from the combination of two geometries and the use of platform switching technology.

SINGLE PROSTHETIC CONNECTION

Thanks to a single prosthetic connection (hole of diameter 3 mm) B. & B. Dental prosthetic components are compatible with all 3P, EV, and WIDE implants, regardless of the abutment or pillar chosen and the diameter of the dental implant.

CHARACTERISTICS

Conexa is a revolutionary connection system between implant and abutment, derived from the combination of two geometries: internal hexagon and Morse taper connection. The internal hexagon enhances resistance to torsional loads, facilitating impression taking and offering absolute precision in abutment repositioning. The conical connection has a Morse taper with a total slope of no more than 5°, which creates a strong mechanical bond. The friction between the two metal surfaces (implant-abutment) locks them together, realizing a cold weld seal. At the same time it eliminates micro movements and prevents the risk of unscrewing and breakage of the prosthetic screw.

It also applies the platform switching method, permitting the use of diameter-reduced abutments, so that the prosthetic connection is moved to the middle of the implant, increasing the distance between the peri-implant bone and the abutment base. This guarantees a better esthetic emergence profile thanks to easier gingival conditioning, a better distribution of lateral loads on the crestal area of the implant, and an improved long-term prognosis. The long-term stability of implant and abutment is achieved by reducing the loss of crestal peri-implant bone, minimization of gingival recession, and an optimal healing of soft connective-mucous tissues. Finally, it also prevents bacteriological infiltrations.

UNLOCKING SYSTEM

The mechanical bond between implant and abutment can be released only with the “EXTRACTOR” screw (Ref. INN-6060). When two tapered surfaces are connected and locked together, the Morse effect is activated and it is extremely difficult to separate them manually.
