Prosthetic
Components

B. & B. Dental offer a very wide range of prosthetic components. Dentists and dental technicians can choose from among several prosthetic options according to available bone volumes, occlusions, specific prosthetic needs, and the aesthetic requirements of patients.

COMPONENT RANGE

The range extends from temporary easily customized abutments to multi-use abutments for restoration with all-on-four prostheses, from simple titanium abutments, to gold bases and multi-scan abutments. It is also possible to choose between spherical anchors, straight or angled abutments (angles 0°, 15°, 25°), only MUA have different angles, e.g. 17° and 30°, and depending on the type of the abutment they are available in 5 heights. They are made mainly from titanium, but also in plexiglass, peek, gold, and colored plastic.

CEMENT-RETAINED RESTORATION

A cement-retained prosthesis on an implant is defined as an intermediate element of cemented prosthesis (false stump), screwed directly onto the implant. It improves aesthetics due to the compliance of the emergence profile, while the concrete sealant facilitates passivation and ensures easy occlusal balancing.

The disadvantages include the difficulty of removal of the prosthesis and the risk that the sealant emerges below the gum line.

A cement-retained restoration is achieved with the following components: temporary plastic abutments, castable abutments, titanium abutments, cerec base, gold base, and in some cases multi-scan abutment.

SCREW-RETAINED RESTORATION

ATTACHMENT-RETAINED RESTORATION

An attachment-retained restoration is most commonly required in clinical contexts in which functionality, esthetics, phonetics, and hygienic requirements all have to be considered together.  Overdenture treatments are particularly useful in cases of unfavorable jaw relation which makes treatment with fixed bridge restoration difficult and when patients are dissatisfied with removable dentures due to oral irritation and/or loss of bone for denture fixation. Finally, it is ideal for edentulous patients with a cracked palate or for people with economic constraints.

Overdentures are realized using abutments or preferably spherical anchors designed for restorations with attachments, equator abutments, and accessories for the realization of a bar system.
